CDG airport is truly a hell hole. Worst designed airport imaginable, rudest airport workers, even if you speak French. Terminal 2 is not really one terminal, it's seven terminals, all poorly connected by a bus that takes 20 minutes to complete its circular tour. If your connecting flight is at the wrong end of the alphabet, good luck. And better luck still at the passport control... last month I waited in line with 500 people all being processed through two booths. It took 45 minutes and the security control another 30. I was the last person aboard my Delta flight to Atlanta.
