Non smokers have had their way in the UK for years. The French just dont adhere to smoking restrictions. If they banned it in bars or restaurants..they will still do it.
They are sensible enough to realise that a lot of bars will close down like they continue to do here in the UK.How many pubs are closing here?
I am looking forward to having a French cigarette whilst drinking Pastis and red wine. Its something I have been TOLD I cant do in the UK.
The next thing is that non smokers will want to eat outside a pub and not want smoking there either! The day I am told I cant smoke in my car will be the end of my obedience. Are you aware that the only workplace in the UK which allows smoking is a bar in the Houses of Parliament? They are exempt from the law!
Us smokers contribute 2.6bn in tax last year.How much do obese people pay, who drain the resources of the NHS far more than a passive smoker!!
